Who should take the test?
Most Sexually Transmitted Diseases do not show symptoms, making it possible to be infected and not know it. Did you know that if you have one STD, you may have multiple STDs?
Our Essential STD Test is taken in the privacy of your own home and covers 3 common sexually transmitted diseases:
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
- Trichomoniasis
Our Essential STD Test is for any woman who is sexually active. Women under 25 and older women with risk factors such as new or multiple sex partners, or a sex partner who has a sexually transmitted infection, need testing for chlamydia, gonorrhea and trichomoniasis every year. For a comprehensive overview of your STD status, we recommend our Comprehensive STD Test. This test measures 7 common viral and bacterial infections (the mentioned STDs + HIV, Hepatitis C, Syphilis and Herpes Simplex Virus Type 2).
How does it work?
You collect the sample, send it back to us and we will provide you with information about your STD status. If you test positive, you should talk to a doctor about treatment options to avoid passing an infection to a partner.
What guidance will I get along with my results?
After you get tested, it’s important for you to find out the result of your test so that you can talk to a doctor about treatment options if one or several of the tested STDs were detected. Still have questions? Send us an email at contact@verisana.com. Please note that we reserve the right to collaborate with certified partner laboratories.
How is my privacy protected?
Our STD Tests are taken in the privacy of your own home. We and our partner laboratories (who may be contracted by us to conduct some or all analyses of your test) take customer privacy very seriously. Only you will have access to this information and we will not share your information with any not authorized third party. All samples are disposed of following analysis.
