How does it work?

Once your order has been processed, you will be sent a blood sample collection kit. You collect your sample from the comfort of your own home and send it right back to our CLIA-certified partner laboratory. We analyze your sample and inform you that your results have been uploaded to your confidential account on our secure website.

What guidance will I get along with my results?

Following the completion of the analysis, you will receive a lab report that includes explanations for the analyzed markers and details on potential symptoms linked to imbalances. Additionally, we strongly advise that you discuss the results you receive from us with your healthcare provider or practitioner.

Moreover, additional information can be found on our website, particularly within various test categories, “health conditions,” and the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section. If you have any further inquiries, please feel free to reach out to us by sending an email to contact@verisana.com.

How is my privacy protected?

Samples for our tests are collected in the privacy of your own home. Both we and our partner laboratories (which may be contracted by us to conduct some or all analyses of your test) take customer privacy very seriously.

You will be the sole person with access to this information, and we guarantee that we will not disclose your information to any unauthorized third parties. Any Questions?

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions regarding this test. Your question is missing? Please contact us at:

What is the Comprehensive Food Sensitivity Test, and why is it important?

The Comprehensive Food Sensitivity Test is a valuable tool that assesses how our immune system reacts to specific foods that may trigger various symptoms, despite these foods being harmless. It's important because it can help identify potential food sensitivities and guide dietary adjustments.

How exactly does the test work?

The test measures your immune system's IgG reactivity to a wide range of foods. It identifies which foods may lead to immune responses, even though they are typically considered safe to consume.

What symptoms can be associated with food sensitivities?

Food sensitivities can manifest as various symptoms, including digestive issues, skin problems, fatigue, headaches, and more. This test aims to help uncover potential triggers for these symptoms.

What is the difference between food allergy and food sensitivity?

So-called "real" food allergies are allergies, where the body reacts immediately with symptoms. For example, with shortness of breath when you have a peanut allergy. With some foods, the body does not react with immediate reactions, but it does produce IgG antibodies. If you continue to consume these foods, in the long term, among other things, digestive problems or signs of inflammation such as joint pain can occur.

I am not getting enough blood from my finger, what can I do?

Prepare the blood draw well: Hold your hand a little longer under warm water and circle your arm to stimulate blood circulation. Prick the finger on the side, not directly on top of the fingertip. The middle or ring finger of the non-dominant hand is usually best. When piercing, place your finger on a firm surface to avoid unconscious pulling back. A light squeeze and massage towards the fingertip helps stimulate blood flow. Alternatively, blood can be taken from the earlobe or from the vein (at the doctor's).
