It is important to note that this test is a screening tool only and is not intended to diagnose disease. Anyone experiencing concerning symptoms such as lumps, pain, or skin changes should seek immediate evaluation by a healthcare provider.

How does it work?

After ordering the Breast Cancer Screening Test, your kit is delivered directly to your home with all the materials needed for sample collection. Using the included instructions, you collect a small tear sample easily and comfortably, then send it back to the laboratory using the prepaid shipping envelope. Once received, the sample is analyzed in a CLIA-certified laboratory for specific protein biomarkers associated with breast tissue changes.

When your results are ready, you will receive an email notification with a link to view your results on your secure online dashboard. This email also includes a link to join an educational community consultation, which is designed to provide general guidance and educational resources about breast health, rather than one-on-one medical advice. The same consultation link can also be accessed from your dashboard once results are available, giving you the opportunity to participate in the community discussion and learn more about your results in an educational setting.

What guidance will I get along with my results?

Your results will indicate whether any protein biomarkers associated with breast tissue changes were detected in your tear sample. A result showing no clinically significant findings suggests that, at the time of testing, there are no detectable biological signals linked to breast abnormalities. If elevated biomarkers are identified, this may indicate breast tissue changes that warrant further evaluation by a healthcare professional.

It is important to remember that a clinically significant result does not confirm the presence of breast cancer, and follow-up with clinical imaging and examination is necessary for a definitive assessment.

To help you understand your results in a supportive setting, you will have access to an educational community consultation. This consultation provides general guidance and educational resources about breast health and how to interpret your results, and is available via a link in your results notification email or directly through your secure dashboard once your results are ready. It is designed as a community learning experience rather than a personalized one-on-one medical consultation.

How is my privacy protected?

Samples for our tests are collected in the privacy of your own home. Both we and our partner laboratories (which may be contracted by us to conduct some or all analyses of your test) take customer privacy very seriously.

You will be the sole person with access to this information, and we guarantee that we will not disclose your information to any unauthorized third parties. Additionally, all samples will be disposed of after analysis. Both our Verisana portal for registering kits and receiving results as well as our CLIA-certified partner laboratories are fully HIPAA-compliant.

The Breast Cancer Screening Test powered by Auria® is a laboratory-developed test (LDT) which has been validated in Namida Lab’s Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certified, high complexity, clinical laboratory lab under the supervision of a Medical Director. An LDT is a test that is designed, developed, and performed within a single laboratory, regulated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), through the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). Currently, the FDA exercises enforcement discretion over LDTs. Certification of the laboratory is required under CLIA to ensure the validity and quality of the test.
